Senate President Receives Three Newly-Appointed Cambodian Ambassadors

PHNOM PENH: Senate President Say Chhum has met with the three newly-appointed Cambodian ambassadors on Tuesday. The three chosen ambassadors are Tuy Ri for Japan, Keo Chhea for the United States and Mexico and Phorn Pov for the Philippines. The Senate president has expressed his congratulations to the three Excellencies who were appointed by the King as the new ambassadors to the three countries.

He has instructed them to pay attention and make efforts to strengthen the relationship and cooperation in all fields between Cambodia and the countries concerned to be stronger for the great benefit for the people and the two countries, in the present and in the future. They are also instructed to hold on to all the situations of our country as well as the international situation and make easier for the government to disseminate to the people of the Kingdom of Cambodia who have been living and working in the country where they are assigned.

Senate President Say Chhum has also advised them to constantly give an update on their duties to know in line with the principles and measures to strengthen friendship, solidarity and cooperation with all those countries. In addition, he has encouraged them to strive in exchanging visits between top leaders, senior leaders, and professional officials in various institutions and strive for cooperation in economic, trade, investment, tourism, education, culture, technology, etc. for the benefit of both countries as well as the benefits of Cambodia.

The President of the Senate stated that the current global and international situation is changing in a complex and dangerous manner; thus, urging them to be very careful in conducting political and diplomatic relations with all countries, both bilateral and multilateral frameworks as well as with international institutions. He says they must be considered carefully, especially before doing something, and submit a report for advice from the Ministry of Guardians or the Royal Government clearly.

On behalf of the three ambassadors, Tuy Ri has pledged to follow the high recommendations of the President of the Senate and promote the country's prestige, strengthen cooperation with host countries and other foreign ambassadors and will try to attract the help of friendly countries, investors, tourists to come to Cambodia more to promote the socio-economic development of Cambodia even more.
